Avast, a vest

I'm forever seeking a "uniform" - I want clothes that I can wear like it's my job and not think about it. I dream of functional, made-from-scraps clothes that look serviceable. (Who else remembers the Rational Dress Society and their jumpsuit project?)

I think the design I made is really cool. The idea was a zip-up vest that could be sort of all-weather depending on what went under it, and to have both workwear and artsy vibes. I thought this would make a universal garment.

I struggled with the execution, largely because I didn't have clear plans around binding the armholes/bagging the lining. Currently it's 7/8 done and on hold.

One day I'll achieve the gay dirtbag Star Trek uniform.
